High as a Kite

Kiwis have crazy ideas about what makes a fun afternoon. Paragliding was unbelievable, we had fantastic views.

Paddle Earth and Lord of the Luge

The luge was great fun, but for real thrills (and a real soaking) you can't beat white water rafting! Despite Steph's expression, she did enjoy it!

View from... the top

We took a gondola ride to see Queenstown from high above. It was high!

Lord of the road trips

Yes, NZ really is this beautiful.
This was one of the most spectacular drives. We arrived at Queenstown, home of outdoor crazy activities - bring it on!!!

Unfortunately, the view from our room was a bit disappointing!!

Kia Ora New Zealand!

After poor conduct in Oz, we were banged up in Christchurch NZ.
It seems life in prison now is pretty cushy with soft beds, TV's, hot showers and coffee!

This old jail, now a hostel was lots of fun, if not a little cold with those thick old walls!

Strewth! A Wombat's eaten me Ute!

It turns out that there's lots to see in Melbourne besides the Neighbours set, it's a really great city. We met some of the native animals and got to experience what life was like for the first European settlers travelling over to oz- economy class on a 747 doesn't seem so bad after all!

We had a magical last night in oz seeing the penguin parade. Unfortunately you can't take photos there but this website gives you a flavour : http://www.penguins.org.au/

Everybody needs good.....

Yes we had to do it! Our lives are now complete, we've visted Ramsey Street and met the legend that is Dr Karl!
We also came third in the official Neighbours trivia quiz (more revision needed) and saw Dr Karl's band perform. Awesome!!!

Queensland

Queensland was awesome! We tried out scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef and even got to wear these stylish stinger suits (modeled by Philip here). We also sailed around the Whitsunday Islands and enjoyed lots of sunshine and white sand.

Don't look down!

After going under by boat, across by car and underneath through the road tunnel, there was only one option left... climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge!
We donned lovely boiler suits and radio sets and headed up on the most beautiful day, to get an incredible view of the city.

The walk from Bronte to Bondi beach.

G'day mate

Sydney is a beautiful city. Philip has become a true ozzy bloke with his new hat!

...one night in Bangkok

After exerting all that aerobic energy, we headed to the ridiculously extravagant shopping mall to see the Christmas decs and laugh at the silly 'designer' models in the shop windows.

Bye bye Asia!

One night in Bangkok...

Last night in Asia... Just as we were about to give up, the syncronised aerobics started in the park. So, when in Rome...
It's amazing how much you rely on being able to understand what the instructor is trying to say! Anyway, we did our best and had a good workout!

A nice post workout snack on the way back was in the form of a bag of fried crickets. Crunchy and a bit like bacon bits! The beady eyes and stick legs were a bit gross.
